Application

NanoFabTx Natural Folate Lipid Mix is a ready-to-use nanoformulation lipid mixture for the synthesis of folate-functionalized liposomes. This lipid mix enables users to encapsulate a wide variety of therapeutic drug molecules for targeted drug delivery applications without the need for lengthy trial-and-error optimization.
NanoFabTx Natural Folate Lipid Mix is a lyophilized, curated, lipid mixture containing rationally selected lipids in precise ratios that have been optimized to achieve liposomes of approximately 100nm in diameter. The synthesized folate-functionalized liposomes can be used to selectively target cells which overexpress folate receptors such as HeLa cells and delivery hydrophilic or hydrophobic drugs, including therapeutics that are thermo-sensitive.

Features and Benefits

  • A ready-to-use nanoformulation lipid blend for the synthesis of folate-functionalized liposomes without the need for high temepratures
  • Step-by-step protocols developed and tested by our formulation scientists
  • Flexible synthesis tool to create uniform and reproducible liposomes
  • Optimized to make liposomes around 100 nm with low polydispersity
  • Optimized lipid blend for folate-functionalized liposomes for therapeutic encapsulation
For microfluidic liposome synthesis of azide-functionalized liposomes, the NanoFabTx- Natural Folate Lipid Mix can be used with the the NanoFabTxMicrofluidic - nano device kit (Cat.No. 911593). The NanoFabTxMicrofluidic - nano device kit includes the microfluidics chips, fittings, and tubing required to get started with microfluidics-based synthesis (compatible microfluidics system or syringe pump required).

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) facilitate cancer progression by promoting tumor invasion, angiogenesis, metastasis, inflammatory responses, and immunosuppression. Folate receptor β (FRβ) is overexpressed in TAMs. However, the clinical significance of FRβ-positive macrophages in lung cancer remains poorly understood. In this study
