General description

Riboflavin-5′-phosphate (flavin mononucleotide or FMN) is a co-enzyme that was first isolated by Theorell. It is involved in the oxidation of glucose-6 phosphate and can be synthesized by phosphorylating riboflavin with phosphoryl chloride.
Riboflavin-(dioxopyrimidine-13C4,15N2) 5′- phosphate is an isotope of riboflavin-5′-phosphate wherein all the carbon and nitrogen atoms of dioxopyrimidine ring are replaced by 13C6 and 15N7, respectively.

Application

Riboflavin-(dioxopyrimidine-13C4,15N2) 5′- phosphate can be used as a stable isotope internal standard for data interpretation in specific biological samples.
