Application
Activated carbons are internally porous microcrystalline, non-graphitic forms of carbon. The activated carbons possess large surface area (~1000 m2/g) and pore volumes which make them useful for applications in energy storage devices, catalysis, and for removal of impurities from gases and liquids.
NORIT® RX 1.5 EXTRA is an acid washed steam activated carbon which possesses high pore volume. Its excellent purity along with good abrasion resistance makes it suitable as a precious metal catalyst carrier.
