General description

Storage:
  • The storage temperature should not exceed 35°C.
  • Keep tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.
  • Do not expose to ultraviolet light.
  • High temperatures (>80°C), pressure and contamination with peroxides may result in auto-polymerization of the product.
  • Unstable upon depletion of inhibitor.

Application

  • Cures extremely rapidly to form a glassy high modulus material.
  • Excellent for use in optical applications.
  • High refractive index −1.54.
  • High impact absorption.
  • Non yellowing.
  • No oxygen inhibition.
  • Mechanical properties after curing:
Modulus*: 931 MPa
Strength*: 36MPa
Elongation*: 5.4%
Tack free**: 150 fpm

*Test Resources: tensile tester, 35 mm gauge length, 1.0 mm thickness, 6.5 mm width.
** Cured under stated intensity. Medium pressure mercury bulb with 320-500 nm filter. Adhesion tests were conducted using a cross hatch tape test on films 0.125 mm thick on glass and PET. Material Data using ASTM D 638-02a.
