General description

Lithium carbonate - 99.999% trace metal basis is a white powder with trace metal impurities ≤ 15.0 ppm. It is designed for application in industries and research fields that demand exceptional purity standards to achieve precise and reliable results in their processes and products.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Lithium carbonate is one of the most important basic lithium salts, widely used in lithium-ion batteries, mainly used as a precursor for synthesizing lithium-ion battery cathode material. It is used to produce materials such as LCO(Lithium Cobalt Oxide), LMO(Lithium ion Manganese Oxide), LTO(Lithium Titanate Oxide), LFP, NMC111, NMC442, NMC532, NMC622 for Li-ion battery and those for other alkaline batteries. It can be used in research areas of therapies such as bipolar disorder, and certain neurological disorders. In the glass industry, lithium carbonate is employed in the production of specialized and optical glass. Additionally, it serves as a flux for making ductile ceramics, ceramic coatings used in metal preservation, and heat-resistant ceramic coatings. It is used as a deoxidizer in the process of industrial copper and nickel smelting; lithium can be used as a sulfur cleaner. It is also used in alloys with a variety of metals.

Features and Benefits

Exceptional Purity: The 99.999% purity minimizes contamination from trace metals, ensuring suitability for applications sensitive to even minute impurities. Consistent Performance: Ultra-high purity guarantees consistent performance across various applications, reducing variability and enhancing reliability. High Purity Standard: Ideal as a standard or reagent for trace metal analysis and high-precision analytical techniques, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
