1α,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 [1,25(OH)2D3 or calcitriol] is a metabolite of vitamin D3. It is known to monitor calcium and phosphate metabolism in humans. It also regulates insulin secretion and induces cellular differentiation. 1α,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 (6,19,19-d3) is a deuterated vitamin D3 wherein C-6 and C-19 protons are replaced by deuterium.

Application

1α,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 (6,19,19-d3) can be used as an internal analytical standard for the quantification of vitamin D3 concentration in dietary supplements, fortified foods or within a complex biological matrix
