General description

Lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF 6428) is a promising cathode material, which has a low operating temperature. It has a high ionic and electronic conductivity with a high electrocatalytic activity.[1][2]
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Click here for more details.

Application

LSCF- 6428 is a mixed ionic and electron conducting pervoskite. The ionic conductivity is lower than YSZ although maintaining high conductivity.[3] X-ray diffraction and electrochemical measurements of an operational LSCF-6428 cathode was conducted to study its lattice expansion during use.[4] LSCF-6428 can be prepared by solid state reaction of individual cation oxides.[5]
LSCF-6428 may be used as the cathode in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).[6]
