Application

1,1′-Difluoro-2,2′-bipyridinium bis(tetrafluoroborate) or SynFluor can be used as an electrophilic fluorinating reagent to synthesize various organofluorine compounds. This reagent is very reactive with high fluorine content, which can be activated by the addition of a catalytic amount of sodium triflate (NaOTf).
