General description

Atomic number of base material: 32 Germanium

Application

Employed in studies on room-temperature oxidation of noble metals and the fabrication of SiGe crystallites on glass substrates.
Germanium(IV) fluoride in combination with disilane gas has recently been used to fabricate SiGe crystallites directly on glass substrates. Intense visible light emission from Ge and Si nanocrystals is of particular interest because of potential uses in optoelectronic devices.

Packaging

Packaged in electropolished stainless steel lecture bottle with a stainless steel valve and CGA 330 outlet.
