General description

contains sodium stabilizing counterion.

LUDOX® AM colloidal silica consists of more condensed silicon structure and it is used in the preparation of polyaniline dispersions.

Application

LUDOX® AM colloidal silica can be used as a source of silica for the synthesis of:
  • NaX zeolites by hydrothermal method.
  • Chrysotile-type Mg3Si2O5·(OH)4 nanotubes (MgSi-NTs).

It can also be used as a binder for ceramic slurries.
