General description
LUDOX® HS-40 colloidal silica is the dispersion of monodispersed colloidal silica particles having the size smaller than 100 nm. It contains sodium stabilizing counterion.
Application
LUDOX® HS-40 colloidal silica can be used:
- For the synthesis of polymer–inorganic nanocomposites by directional freezing.
- To synthesize colloidal suspensions of zeolite Y and zeolite A nanocrystals by hydrothermal method.
- As a model for colloidal silica foulants to study the membrane fouling.
