Application

Aluminum phosphate can be used:
  • As a coating material to modify the surface of NCM cathode of Li-ion batteries. It helps to enhance the discharge capacity and capacity retention ability of batteries.
  • As a bifunctional additive to fabricate electrode for Li-S batteries. It acts as a lithium polysulfide capturing agent to reduce and stabilize interfacial resistance during cycling.
  • To fabricate polypropylene separator with low ionic impedances and high thermal/electrochemical stability. This leads to improved ionic conductivity and Li-ion diffusion coefficient.

General description

Aluminum phosphate is a white crystalline solid with excellent thermal stability and a wide bandgap. It also possesses high dielectric constant and insulation properties. It is widely used in the field of solar cells, capacitors, and fuel cells.
