Biochem/physiol Actions
胶原蛋白IV在基底膜组装中起关键作用。六个链组装成三个不同的原体,即α 1.α1.α2(IV)、α3.α4.α5(IV)和α 5.α5.α6(IV)。三聚体以α-链的不同组合形成。在专门的肾小球BM(GBM)中观察到α3、α4和α5的高表达水平。COlA5基因的突变与Alport综合征有关,而α3(IV)链与Goodpasture综合征(一种自身免疫性疾病)的发病机制有关。COlA5中的突变也与弥漫性食管平滑肌瘤病有关。

General description
人胶原IV包含六个基因。COL4A1-COL4A2定位于13号染色体。COL4A3-COL4A4和COL4A5-COL4A6分别位于2号染色体和X号染色体上。它属于胶原超家族,并与基底膜(BMs)相关。六个α链,即α1(IV)至α6(IV)包含N端半胱氨酸和赖氨酸结构域,典型的Gly-X-Y三重重复序列和C端非胶原(NC1)结构域。
