牛肠粘膜碱性磷酸酶既是磷酸单酯酶，又是焦磷酸酶。 [1]
应用
推荐用于抗体和蛋白质缀合的高比活性等级。
牛肠粘膜碱性磷酸酶已被用于测量具有不同氟烃链长度的三种多氟代烷基磷酸单酯的水解动力学。 [2] 另一项研究表明，其异构体C-1和C-2的发育调控表达预示了肠道碱性磷酸酶随组织成熟而发生的功能变化。 [3]
碱性磷酸酶可用于酪蛋白和其他蛋白质的去磷酸化。碱性磷酸酶还可用于 DNA 或 RNA 的 5′-末端的去磷酸化，以防止自我连接。经碱性磷酸酶的去磷酸化作用后，DNA 或 RNA 还可被放射性标记磷酸盐标记（通过 T4 多核苷酸激酶）。
物理属性
牛肠碱性磷酸酶为二聚膜衍生糖蛋白。至少存在三种同工酶，每个单体通常拥有两个 N-连接多糖和一个或多个 O-连接多糖。2 该酶需要锌以及镁或钙二价离子才能显示活性。
