一般描述
单胺氧化酶 (MAO,EC 1.4.3.4) 是一类可催化单胺氧化脱氨反应的线粒体酶。在哺乳动物中,MAO 由 MAO-A 和 MAO-B 两种同工酶组成。 MAO功能障碍被认为是造成许多神经系统疾病的原因。 体内 MAO 水平过高或过低与抑郁症、精神分裂症、药物滥用、注意力缺陷障碍、偏头痛和不规律性成熟有关。MAO 抑制剂是治疗抑郁症的主要处方药之一。
应用
单胺氧化酶活性测定试剂盒已用于评估 MAO-A(单胺氧化酶 A)、MAO-B(单胺氧化酶 B) 和 ALDH(乙醛脱氢酶)活性。

原理
单胺氧化酶测定试剂盒为测定生物样品中 MAO 酶活性提供了一种方便的荧光测定法。在试验中,MAO 与 对酪胺(MAO-A 和 MAO-B 的底物)反应,生成 H 2 O 2 ,可通过荧光法(λex = 530/λ em = 585 nm)测定。该测定方法简便、灵敏、稳定、且具有高通量适应性。单位定义:在测定条件下,一个单位的MAO每分钟催化形成1μ摩尔H 2 O 2 。
