应用

将右旋糖酐用作长的亲水性间隔臂提高了作用于大分子的固定化蛋白质的性能。
葡聚糖在许多应用中被用作体积增量剂、渗透压调节剂、稳定剂、基质组分、共聚物、微载体、粘合剂、粘度调节剂、抗血栓药、润滑剂和物理结构组分。葡聚糖可用作长亲水间隔臂，以改善偶联/结合蛋白的性能（运动自由度）。葡聚糖可以衍生化，以用于生物传感器系统。小于60,000kDa的葡聚糖通常被认为是低分子量葡聚糖。由于粘度、聚集性和渗透性，低分子量葡聚糖通常优于高分子量葡聚糖。高分子量的水溶性葡聚糖聚合物已被用于各种生物医学应用。一种低分子量葡聚糖（15,000-30,000），可用于研究瞬时质膜透化的过程。葡聚糖（15,000-30,000）可用作蛋白质包装和折叠研究中的糖类拥挤剂。

制备说明

除了最高分子量的葡聚糖D5501（分子量范围= 500万至4,000万），其他葡聚糖都具有非常好的水溶性。 Sigma测试显示，葡聚糖在水中的溶解浓度通常超过30mg/ml。葡聚糖也易溶于DMSO、甲酰胺、乙二醇和甘油。中性-水性葡聚糖溶液可通过在110-115oC下高压灭菌30至45分钟进行灭菌。葡聚糖在高温下可以被强酸水解。葡聚糖的末端还原性端基可在碱性溶液中氧化。
