General description
胶原蛋白由三个多肽链组成。2型胶原蛋白广泛存在于透明软骨中。它是由三个α1链组成的三同聚体。2型胶原蛋白也主要存在于椎间盘髓核和眼玻璃体中。从鸡胸骨软骨中提取的蛋白多糖与九型胶原蛋白结构相似。
胶原蛋白被分为许多种结构和遗传性不同的类型。我们使用Bornstein和Traub提出的命名法。不要混淆Sigma分类标识和公认的胶原蛋白分类类型。
Application
胶原蛋白（来自鸡胸软骨）用于：
- –酶联免疫吸附试验(ELISA)。
- 软骨细胞介导的体外组织生成。
- 胶原α诱导关节炎(CIA)的诱导、治疗和评估。
- 细胞增殖试验。
- 细胞培养表面包被。
Biochem/physiol Actions
胶原蛋白在体内会代谢降解，释放来自氨基端的N-端肽。还会释放可能来自羧基端的C-端肽。N-端肽进入尿液，在诊断检验中可用来筛查骨质疏松症。
