一般描述

(+)-2-氨基-4-膦酰基丁酸或 DL-AP4 是 III 组非选择性代谢型谷氨酸受体(mGluR)激动剂。L-2-氨基-4-膦酰基丁酸 (L-Ap4) 对 III 组 mGluR 的选择性接近 500 倍。

应用

(+)-2-氨基-4-膦酰基丁酸在眼组织视网膜电图研究中可用作灌注溶液中的谷氨酸受体阻滞剂。
