一般描述

胰岛素是由胰岛β-细胞分泌的双链多肽激素。其分子量为~5800 Da。α链和β链是由两个链间二硫键所连接的。α链含有一个链间二硫键。

应用

人胰岛素溶液可作为添加剂用于Dulbecco′改良eagle′培养基(DMEM)培养上皮细胞系和人子宮內膜细胞系,用于最低必需培养基培养人乳腺癌细胞系,用于培养基199培养正常卵巢细胞系。
人胰岛素溶液用于细胞培养的浓度建议为0.5-1 mL/L培养基。
人胰岛素溶液可用于小鼠和大鼠的胰岛素耐受试验。它还可用于人胚胎干细胞(hESC)的体外培养和hMSC(人间充质基质细胞)的成脂分化。

生化/生理作用

胰岛素在各种细胞过程中起作用,包括促进细胞生长、调节细胞周期、促进葡萄糖摄取。常用作哺乳动物细胞无血清培养基的蛋白添加剂,促进并维持哺乳动物细胞的最优生长。
