一般描述
皮质酮 (Cort) 是一种糖皮质激素。也是介导鸟类应激反应的主要激素。是大鼠血浆中主要的肾上腺皮质类固醇。已在小鼠模型中研究了母体皮质酮暴露对发育中胎盘的影响。
应用
皮质酮用于研究大鼠、蜥蜴类或体外研究中的肾上腺素受体信号。还用于免疫抑制实验。
生化/生理作用
皮质酮由肾上腺皮质中的胆固醇合成，可激活盐皮质激素和糖皮质激素受体。皮质酮的作用是至关重要的生殖过程，包括排卵，黄体，卵母细胞的发展，分娩和哺乳。皮质酮的代谢受 11β-羟基类固醇脱氢酶的调节。
