一般描述
腺苷是一种嘌呤核苷碱（purine nucleoside base）。它是由通过糖苷键连接核糖的腺嘌呤组成。腺苷存在于活细胞中和细胞外。它可用作前体，并是腺嘌呤核甙酸的代谢物。在所有生物体中，腺苷可作为三磷酸腺苷（ATP）、二磷酸腺苷（ADP）和环单磷酸腺苷（cAMP）的基本结构因子，从而在能量转化中起着重要的作用。腺苷在中枢神经系统、内分泌系统、炎症和免疫反应以及心血管系统中发挥着至关重要的作用。它通过激活腺苷受体，对肾脏功能、肺功能、疼痛和睡眠等发挥着重要的内源性调节作用。
应用
腺苷已被用作测定小鼠全心（whole heart）样品中腺苷含量的标准品。
生化/生理作用
内源性神经递质。心肌保护作用可能与 A1 腺苷受体的激活有关。通过 A2 腺苷受体可介导腺苷的抗血小板和抗炎作用。相比之下，腺苷在哮喘和慢性阻塞性肺部疾病 (COPD) 中起促炎介质作用。
