硫脲已用于:
  • 用作肝组织匀浆的裂解缓冲液组分
  • 二维凝胶蛋白酪氨酸磷酸酶(PTP)测定所用的二维样品缓冲液
  • 蛋白质提取补液缓冲液

离液剂;强变性剂。增加蛋白质的溶解性和回收率

生化/生理作用

硫脲是过氧化物自由基的自由基清除剂。其表现出了抑制脂质过氧化和紫外线(UV)诱导胶原交联的作用。硫脲可用作生长刺激剂,抑制植物芽休眠。目前确知其可用于治疗甲状腺功能亢进症。
