General description
Mcl-1（诱导的髓样白血病细胞分化蛋白）是一种潜在的跨膜蛋白，属于Bcl-2蛋白家族，其与线粒体相关。Bcl-2家族的成员已知可参与细胞凋亡、细胞生长和分化的调控。疏水羧基末端在该家族成员中是保守的，在其他成员中已被证明为跨膜区域。Mcl-1被发现在骨髓分化中早期表达。存在两个独立的Mcl-1亚型，但具有相反的功能。全长Mcl-1（亚型1）可促进细胞活力、过度增殖。亚型2是由于在mRNA加工过程中Mcl-1中央外显子的跳跃以及第一和第三外显子的连接而产生的。当该蛋白积累时会诱导凋亡。当亚型1和2发生二聚化时，其表现出促凋亡功能。
