Application

抗APP A4抗体,a.a.66-81 of APP,克隆22C11已用于免疫组织化学和免疫印迹(1:1000)。

Biochem/physiol Actions

β/A4淀粉样前体蛋白(APP)可发生蛋白水解裂解,并产生β/A4肽。在脑皮层实质和脑膜血管中观察到这种肽的细胞外沉积物,这标志着阿尔茨海默病的病理状态。′APP基因突变可导致早发性阿尔茨海默病和遗传性脑出血伴淀粉样变。′
抗APP A4抗体与pre-A4反应,并识别pre-A4分子N-末端氨基酸66-81(Hilbich 等,1993)。 22C11识别APP的全部三种亚型,未成熟~110kDa,sAPP~120kDa,成熟~130kDa(Hoffmann et al.,2000)。抗APP A4抗体可与APLP2发生交叉反应(Slunt,1994)。

General description

β/A4淀粉样前体蛋白(APP)是一种跨膜糖蛋白,存在三种亚型。这种蛋白由一个单通路跨膜结构域、一个大的细胞外N末端结构域和一个短的细胞质C末端尾部组成。APP基因位于人染色体21q21.3-q22。
