Application
MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 14 analytes in human serum, plasma, or tissue culture supernatants.Analytes included: Amylin (active), Amylin (total), C-Peptide, Ghrelin (active), GIP (total), GLP-1 (active), GLP-1 (total), Glucagon, IL-6, Insulin, Leptin, MCP-1/CCL2, Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP), PYY (total), Secretin, and TNFαNote: Amylin Active and Total cannot be run together in the same assay. GLP-1 Active and Total cannot be run together in the same assay. Some analytes require a protease inhibitor during sample collection.Assay Characteristics: Refer to kit protocol for assay cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

General description
Metabolic hormones like insulin, leptin, ghrelin, adiponectin, and resistin are central to regulating energy homeostasis, appetite, and glucose metabolism. Insulin facilitates cellular glucose uptake; leptin signals satiety and modulates fat storage; ghrelin stimulates hunger; adiponectin improves insulin sensitivity and has anti-inflammatory effects; resistin is associated with insulin resistance and inflammation. Together, these hormones provide a dynamic snapshot of metabolic health and dysfunction.
