Elevated levels of NF-L in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood indicate ongoing neurodegeneration and correlate with conditions such as Alzheimer′s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and multiple sclerosis (MS). Additionally, increased NF-L levels often reflect the severity of neuroinflammatory processes.
