  • Comparison of essential and toxic elements in esophagus, lung, mouth and urinary bladder male cancer patients with related to controls.: The research utilized 65% nitric acid in the sample digestion process for the determination of trace elements in cancer patient tissues using atomic absorption spectrometry (Kazi et al., 2015).

  • Interaction between carcinogenic and anti-carcinogenic trace elements in the scalp hair samples of different types of Pakistani female cancer patients.: This study employed 65% nitric acid for the digestion of scalp hair samples, analyzing trace elements through atomic absorption spectrometry (Wadhwa et al., 2015).

Nitric acid 69% (for analysis) can be used as a reagent to control pH values in a hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography system (HILIC) for the analysis of polar compounds in complex samples.
