Platinum on graphitized carbon (40% Pt/Vulcan XC72) is a high surface area material that is used as an electrocatalyst for the development of electrolytic fuel cells and direct methanol fuel cells.[1][2][3] It can also be used in the formation of a non-enzymatic sensor for the oxidation of glucose.[4]
