Analysis Note
Samples of a commercially purchased fish oil capsule were analyzed for fatty acids. Sample preparation of the fish oil capsule was done as described in AOAC Official Method 991.39 (1). The resulting extracts were then analyzed by GC/FID on an Omegawax 250 capillary column as described in AOCS Official Method Ce 1i-07.
