Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 7 analytes in human serum, plasma, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).Analytes included: Angiotensinogen (AGT), Contactin-1, Fetuin A, Kallikrein-6, Osteopontin (OPN), soluble Superoxide Dismutase 1 (SOD1), soluble Superoxide Dismutase 2 (SOD2).Note: When testing serum/plasma samples, Fetuin A cannot be plexed with other analytes in this panel due to a required 1:40,000 dilution. The other 6 analytes can be assayed together as a multiplex when testing serum/plasma samples but Fetuin A must be tested as a singleplex.Assay Characteristics: Refer to kit protocol for assay cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

Features and Benefits

Comprehensive Oxidative Stress Assessment: Simultaneously quantify SOD1 and SOD2 antioxidant enzymes alongside inflammatory markers, providing complete oxidative stress profiling critical for understanding neurodegeneration mechanisms.
Cross-Disease Research Power: Leverage biomarkers relevant to ALS, Alzheimer′s disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis in one panel, maximizing research impact and enabling comparative studies across neurological conditions.
Dual-Protocol Flexibility: Choose between overnight and 2-hour protocols to match your research timeline needs, with both delivering < 10% precision and excellent spike recovery across multiple sample types.
Multi-Sample Compatibility: Analyze CSF, serum, and plasma samples with optimized performance, maximizing research versatility and enabling comprehensive biomarker studies across different biological matrices.
Streamlined Neurological Research: Eliminate the complexity of seven separate assays with our integrated 7-plex format, accelerating your neuroscience discoveries while preserving precious samples for comprehensive protein profiling.

General description

Oxidative damage is a hallmark of many neurological disorders. SOD1 and SOD2 neutralize reactive oxygen species and are implicated in conditions like ALS. Osteopontin rises in stroke and Alzheimer′s, reflecting inflammatory stress. Kallikrein-6 has emerged as a candidate marker for multiple sclerosis, while contactin-1, fetuin A, and angiotensinogen contribute to neuronal signaling, metabolic balance, and vascular regulation—each offering clues to disease progression.
