应用

甘油可用作：
  • 免疫荧光封固剂成分
  • 结核分枝杆菌和鸟分枝杆菌细胞培养过程中的补充剂；
  • 酶生物燃料电池设计过程中的燃料；
  • 含有4-HCCA和3-氨基­喹啉的液体复合基质，可用于分析中性和酸性聚糖；
  • 进行快原子轰击电离质谱的基质；
甘油可用作MALDI（基质辅助激光解吸/电离质谱）定量分析研究的液体基质。

生化/生理作用

甘油天然具有是吸湿性，并因其三个亲水性醇羟基而可溶于水。它可形成分子间及分子内的氢键，使其成为一种非常灵活的分子。 甘油的生理作用与细胞介导的免疫、IgG生成的提高以及增加的组胺释放相关。
