Peptide dissolution and storage methods

Storage Methods

  • Peptides are delivered in a lyophilized (freeze-dried) state. Upon receiving the peptides, store them in a dark place at 2-8℃ or below this temperature.
  • Lyophilized peptides are stable at room temperature for a few days to weeks, but if you plan to store for a longer period, we recommend storing them at -20℃ or below.
  • Humidity can degrade peptide stability. When using peptides stored in a freezer, ensure they return to room temperature sufficiently before use.

Dissolution Methods

  • There is no universal solvent that can dissolve all lyophilized peptides, but it must be compatible with the biological assay.
  • You may need to try multiple solvents to find the suitable solvent. To select the most appropriate solvent for your peptides, some trial-and-error may be necessary.
  • The first chosen solvent may not work, so it is good to first try solvents that can be easily removed by freeze-drying. Therefore, it is important to perform solubility tests with a small amount of peptide before dissolving all of the peptide.
